I'm off to South Lake Tahoe tomorrow (Wed.), we leave from work around noon. I'm going to see snow - real SNOW! I know this does not thrill many of you, but I haven't been in the snow since Feb. or March of 1982. That was the last winter I spent in Illinois. Many of my co-workers will be skiing, but I'll just be chilling out, enjoying the snow, let the "one armed bandit" take some of money and sleeping. We come back on Saturday afternoon.

Now I have to finish packing. I'm trying real, real hard to get everything in one suitcase because there are 4 of us driving up together in a SUV type Jeep, but a girl has to have choices, so I'm sure I'm over-packing. But maybe not, I don't have any real warm clothes (I live in the Bay Area - who needs them), so I'm taking double socks and a leotard pants to wear under my regular pants, if I'm cold. I also borrowed [livejournal.com profile] dbubley's gloves. I did buy a ski jacket recently, the only real coat I have. I don't have boots, so I'm bringing an extra pair of shoes; if they get wet I can switch pairs and let them dry out.

I really aimed to be in bed by midnight, but now I'll be doing real good if I get there by 1:30 am.
