For women my age, I'm below average, but I'm slightly above average for women in California. I certainly DID count oral sex - come on, I'm bisexual and that would leave out sex with women and I refuse to do that - [sticking my tongue out] so there!
My way of deciding what counts as "sex" is weird, I think. The same physical act can count under some circumstances or with some partners, but not others. If my partner is treating it like it's not the "real thing," it's less likely to count. Some of my oral sex experience with men falls into that category.
OK, I've had sex with rather a lot of people, but there's something seriously wrong with a survey that tells me I've done it with 80637 more people than "average." (And does so by claiming that the "average" person in the US has had minus 80,500-plus sexual partners!)
The only way I can see that working is if a whole helluva lot of virgins took the survey ...
Even if that many virgins took it, it would just put the average barely above zero, not well below zero. akosut's guess was that the survey lets people input negative numbers and someone's been screwing around with it. You probably only need a few people claiming negative two billion sex partners to throw the average *way* off. :-)
