Saw "Hancock" Today
Jul. 4th, 2008 10:40 pmI give it 2 "very's" - it's a very, very good movie. While there are some laughs, it really is a drama. Will Smith turns in a solid performance, as usual. With the exception of "Wild, Wild West", I have always liked his movies.
stonebender tells me "I Am Legend" is not very good, but I didn't see it. As much as I liked "Iron Man", I think Hancock is even better.
The first part of the film has lots of close-ups of Smith's face and very little dialog In a less talented actor and director, this could have been nothing more than one "mugging for the camera" face after another, but it wasn't. As his character grew, he carried me right along.
Finally, a movie I felt was worth the $10 to see.
