Dec. 8th, 2005 10:49 amBusy morning. So far I've decorated the tree outside with lights and a few ornaments, put up the last of the lights on the front windows and cleaned up and set the table in the back yard. I picked some persimmons and made a little arrangement on the table.
Then a friend and his grandson came to pick some persimmons. I looked out and saw K (who's about 70 yrs old) up on the ladder, leaning to pick the ones on the very top of the tree. When I went out, Gilly slipped out too. For some reason she really didn't like having two men in HER back yard. I've only seen her react like this a couple of times before (and both were directed at men). She barks, bars her teeth, backs away and then moves back towards them again. I don't think she's really attacking, but she is certainly upset. And the barring of the teeth is NOT her regular dobie smile.
Oh, yeah, I'm also waiting to hear from the plumber, who is suppose to come over to fix the sink in the 1/2 bath. I know him well enough that I can always put Gilly in
dbubley's house and leave the back door open for him. And I can leave him a blank check. He's a good friend of
clever_doberman and we've used him before, so I feel fine doing it that way, if I have to.
And
stonebender is going to the movie with
serenejournal's Munchkin The Elder this afternoon.
And today I also need to finally make the rum balls. And run to Coscto. I also wanted to get my hair cut but . . . something might have to go out of this schedule today.
dbubley woke up in lot of pain this morning and blood in her urine. I'm betting it's a kidney infection. She just called Kaiser and they want her in the ER asap, so I'm off to shower and run.
