Most of the time we lived down south we had the same tree as you. Mom and pop tried to get us a real tree once or twice I think but I was told at that time the real trees avalible were of poor quality and cost an arm and a leg so they bought the silver one. They would alternate one year it would be all blue glass ball and the next all red ones. We didn't have a real tree till we moved out to IL.
