Day Three of Happy Meme

Buying a new vacuum cleaner and a new light for the office. The old vacuum has a broken wheel and there was no way to fix it, it drove me crazy trying to vacuum when every couple of minutes I had to try to stick it back on. The floor light next to my desk has been broken for a few months and I really, really missed it at night.

The rain makes me happy and unhappy tonight. Happy because I just love it, but unhappy because I didn't have a chance to waterproof the connections on the xmas lights and now they are all shorted out.

Most happy - that I took a vacation day today!

(technically it is after midnight, so I am into day 4, but who's counting - really Who is counting?)

I had no idea it rained last night, but it did feel like rain when I was leaving work. I had some family drama (not drama, really. the kid called and is miserable there, and after talking to her for an hour, I cried on my mom and James about it for another hour, so I was spent), so I was up unwinding until around 2am. I wish I'd known it rained. I love the rain.

The rain was more of a sprinkle shower, it just wet enough stuff to get to the electrical connections. I'm off to Home Depot to pick up the liquid electrical tape so I can get it all set before the big rains hit. The boy went to bed late, so he's still sleeping.

Sorry the kid is so miserable and that it made you so miserable. Just remember she's had years (like her whole life) to know and deal with her parents. She will survive this too.

Black is the most common one I've seen green and red too. It's great stuff for sealing outside connections. I have to break the seal with a utility knife when I take them down.

If I can get everything together, Betty and I are going to swim. She'll hang out with a book while I swim and then we'll go to lunch with whoever and where ever. After lunch we have to run out to Jan Moreno's in San Pablo to drop off some things. So if it works out, I'll see you tomorrow.
