Camera Phone vs. Digital Camera

Can you tell which photo was taken with which device?  Neither one has had any manipulation.  If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would prefer digital photography, I would have called you crazy.  If you told me a year ago that I would have trouble telling a cell phone camera photo from my digital camera, I would again have pronounced you crazy.  And now I'm really loving the prints I get from my little HP Photosmart printer.  You're sane and I'm falling crazy in love with photography all over again.

so, is the digital photo displayed on the screen direct from the source? or, to ask another way, is the film picture printed and then scanned? to get a fair comparison, both have to be printed on comparable equipment, then scanned on the same scanner, and then displayed.

Neither of these are film prints - both are digital photographs, one from my cell phone and the other from my Canon PowerShot G6 digital camera. Now can you guess which is from my cell phone and which is from my camera?

FYI: I printed out an 8 x 10 B&W print of you on your scooter to show dbubley and now it's up on her wall. She said you look so happy in that photo.

They are getting really good aren't they. So glad you are getting some joy in your life of late. I have no clue which was taken with which they are both nice although I would tend to say I like the top one more.

well, it would have helped if I had read the title of this thread, so sorry for the misinterpretation.

I would have said the hand is the better camera, but in fact the rose picture does show more depth.

but the quality of the current phone cameras is the same as the early digital cameras, which isn't bad, until you try to blow them up to bigger sizes.


and, I'm so glad you are getting jazzed by photography. this should be interesting.
