It's a day I'm suppose to get lots done. I'm in xmas decorating mode. The house is a mess of decorations everywhere. I love it.

But I've also got other stuff to do. Go back to the appliance store and get the adapter for my fridges water filter. I picked up a new filter yesterday. Salesman say's "oh, they've changed the number." I say, "but it's for the same system right." He assures me it is. Now I brought in my old filter just to make sure. And, of course, it doesn't fit when I get home. Checked on-line. Yep, it's the right filter but I need an adapter now. So more than just the number changed. Called this morning, yeah they have it, but now it's another truck out there if I'd like filter water anytime soon. They close at 4 pm today and don't open again until Monday. A girl could die of thirst . . . okay we do have indoor plumbing so I could use the tap water but it doesn't taste as good.

Which brings me to my second problem of the day. I think I'm getting another UTI, which just sucks. This would be my 3rd one in a couple of months. And of course what is the best things to fix/prevent a UTI, yep drinking lots of water. I like water but I just forget to drink it unless I'm doing something that makes me thirsty. And I know that by the time you feel thirsty you are already a little dehydrated. And just to make this "day when I want to accomplish much" a little more irritating - allergies are kicking my butt, okay it's my nose but you get the picture. I'm sneezing, I'm peeing, I've placed glasses of water and boxes of kleenex all over the house. And in between I'm decorating. I took a quick breakfast break while I try to decide how to arrange the Harry Potter ornaments this year. Decisions, decisions!

And a little LJ wasting time thrown in for good measure.

And I really want to stop by a friends birthday party tonight. But first things first, back to Harry.

You didn't ask for * Answer Syndrome, so ignore this if you don't want it.

Cranberry juice. Trader Joe's now has it straight with no sugar or other fruit juice added, so you can sweeten it yourself if you don't want a high sugar drink. And/or you can add some to carbonated water, if you like that.

Or there are cranberry capsules.

And could you get a bottle of water in a holster and carry it around with you?

water is goodfor what ails ya. UTIs, allergies and anything else that gets your body to expell fluids. you need to replace what you are getting rid of, and you need to dilute what you are passing through your bladder. I even have a bottle of that cranberry stuff if you want to come and get it from my fridge - unopened.

our municipal water isn't nearly as bad as some towns, just not as good as your filtered stuff, but then, well, there'll be a slight delay, madam.

how's Gill?

love and Misha kisses from your Clever friend.

Gill is doing much better. She's on regular dog food with a little milk. And she's back to her old self, always looking for play time or people food.

Oh My! When it rains it pours

I didn't know TJ's has straight cranberry juice. I might try that. dbubley bought some d-mannose power that you mix with water. It's suppose to be the stuff in cranberry juice that helps with UTI's so I've been taking some of that today. The pain is subsiding a little so maybe I caught it early enough to bypass the antibiotics this time. *hits head with hand* Duh, water in a BOTTLE, you mean it's not just for use outside the house?!!!! It's amazing sometimes how narrow my vision can be. Thanks
