Made my first pumpkin pie and it looks okay. I made evaporated milk from lactose free milk so [livejournal.com profile] dbubley could enjoy a piece. Next I'm off to stuff the turkey and get that started. It's only a little 8 pound bird so it should cook in 3 - 4 hours. We will eat around 5 pm. Simple dinner of smashed potatoes, cornbread dressing, corn, rolls, gravy and canned cranberry jelly. [livejournal.com profile] stonebender does not believe it's Thanksgiving without the sound of the jelly plopping out of the can. And he actually prefers the taste and texture too.

I think I'll be able to clear the table of xmas decorations so we can use the whole area for dinner. This will be the first time we can do this in over a month.

I might even get a little nap in before dinner.

We had a nice T-day managed to have only one small blow up which is a record I think. The food was all good. I was lazy and just picked up a Costco Pumpkin Pie. Katie got to open all her presents a day early. Boy she made a haul. Two or three different dolls a video camera for her video now player, P.J.'s, several very cute outfits, some do dads for her hair etc, a canopy for her bed and some beads for her door very 60's. And some how I ended up taking Dylan and Katie home with me? Hence why I am up on the computer at 4 in the morning. They are getting too big to sleep in my bed or I am getting too old*giggles*. Hope Betty has a great B-day!
