The most memorable line from "The Devil Wears Prada", which we went to see this afternoon.
stonebender &
dbubley liked it well enough,
clever_doberman was more lukewarm about it and I believe that is 106 minutes I will never get back. I didn't care about one person in the film. Meryl Streep was a bitch of a boss and she did an excellent job of it, but even that performance didn't save the movie for me. If you're into fashion, there's a lot of eye candy.
Thanks for the info

Date: 2006-07-03 08:08 pm (UTC)the more I think about it, the less I liked it. I think there was supposed to be some sort of heartwarming arc of girl gets caught up in the fast paced world of fashion, learns her lesson, walks away and is a better person for it. but mostly it was stupid and that arc was so flat it was hard to see. ooooh, she dumps the cute guy that could help her career, what a bold move.
Meryl Streep is so much better than this film. trivia question: was that her real hair, or did she wear a wig?
