I love the smell of diluted skunk. I inhale deeply as I drive through a sprayed area and I'm sad when the odor is gone. And gas - I love the smell of gas. I know inhaling a bunch of hydrocarbons are not good for the lungs; it says right there on the gas pump. I don't go out of my way to do so, but I do have fill the tank up every so often. Just like with the skunk, I don't want the full blast, but a fine mix of air and stink.

Both of those things smell good to me in small enough concentrations. Also lighter fluid, horse manure, permanent markers...

Magic Markers (tm), specifically. And one you never smell these days: honest-to-god mimeograph fluid.

Are you sure we aren't the same person? Skunk is marvelous for clearing the sinuses, and gas smells like being a teenager again.

I also have memory-based fondness for the smell of hot tar or asphalt, and I can remember being in elementary school and wanting to be the last one to get on the bus for home so I could stand there and inhale the deisel exhaust smells.

It's a wonder I've still got two braincells to rub together.

Mmmm....gasoline. I've loved that smell since I was a kid.

Gasoline and permanent markers would be on my list. Other than that, it's hard to say. I can't think of anything off the top of my head, although I have the vague sense that there would be a lot of things on the list.

Skunk yes, gasoline no. Human body smells, including farts, smell good to me.

Horse manure

I don't mind diluted skunk, but freshly washed skunk on a dogs coat is almost intolerable to me. I love the smell of horse manure, it reminds me of my youth, riding horses whenever I got the chance.

Another odor that excites me is freshly turned earth. reminds me of making mud pies, and doing archaeology! And I love the feel of hands caked with dirt!
