Another full day of work on very little sleep. Then [livejournal.com profile] stonebender and I went to dinner with the young man who stayed with us for a few weeks last year. He's the son of a college friend. He's established himself in the Bay Area with a job and he's in graduate school. Now he's in love and wanted us to meet her. We were treated to a very nice dinner, lots of talking (3 1/2 hours) and wave after wave of NRE coming off of them. Ahhh, to be that young and that in love.

But now it's 3 am and I have another interview at 10 am for another job I don't want. Again, I have that torn feeling of wanting them to want me, but I don't want them to offer me the position.

Hey [livejournal.com profile] serenejournal, how did you make the ratatouille (not the patouille) last Sunday? I need to bring something to a birthday potluck on Saturday night and I thought I might make that because it was very tasty, I think it will travel well and can be served at room temp. The perfect potluck food.

Wish me luck that I fall asleep quickly. I might actually get 4 hours of sleep, if I'm lucky.

Best wishes for things to make more sense in regards to your interview and you can get some sleep. I struggle with a medically defined sleep disorder and can relate. I saw a segment on an Oprah show one afternoon, not sure if it was Dr. Oz or not but it was recommended to try eating foods that help induce sleep before bed like warm milk, banana or almonds. Controlling your environment may also help too, good pillows and a regular sleep schedule if possible help too. I have no medical training but these are suggestions that were made from the show. Good luck and sweet dreams.
